Wine from Xarel.lo vineyard that is over 60 years old, with very low production and a oak barrel fermentation process. This wine is an homage to my father and grandfather of my children, from whom it gets its name.
Grape variety: the grape comes from vines of very little production of vineyards planted in 1945.
Terroir: own organic viticulture vineyards located in Subirats. The grapes are picked from 60 year old vines with a very limited production.
Alcohol Content: 14º
Macerated at 5º C for 38-45 hours. Fermentation takes place in French and American Oak barrels. Aged for 3 months with its own lees where the battonage takes place.
Pale gold with hints of sparkle. Floral aromas in the nose (almond flower) combine with ripe fruit (pineapple, quince) and the aromas from the barrel (toast, vanilla, coffee). A well balanced wine with body and glyceric, unctuous though at the same time crisp. Tropical notes.
